Communication
At Archdale School we believe that all children have the potential to communicate their needs, thoughts, feelings and opinions through developing trusting and caring relationships. Everyday, we offer our students memorable and motivating experiences that they are worth communicating about and help them flourish.
Here, the children get lots of opportunities to learn and use a range of communication tools that match their individual strengths and needs and that help them express themselves in either verbal or non-verbal ways. Some of the communication programs and Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools we use are: Core Vocabulary Boards, MAKATON, PECs, Eye Gaze technology, Intensive Interaction, Attention Autism.
