Governing Body
Meet the Governing Body:
Dr Jill LeBihan, Chair of Governors
In my professional life I am Head of Student Engagement at Sheffield Hallam University, with a strong interest in positive student experience. My academic background is in English Literature and Language, so I understand the importance of literacy and communication in education, but I also believe in reading for pleasure, and am committed to ensuring children have opportunities to explore the arts, music and broad creative expression. I work closely with the digital learning team at Sheffield Hallam and understand the possibilities this offers for education, but I am also fully aware of the risks to children and aim to support the school where I can in keeping the pupils safe.

I’m part of the Teaching, Learning and Community sub-committee, also the nominated governor for Health and Safety and the link governor for the lead Teacher in Communication. Melanie Brunt, Staff Governor
I have worked at Archdale/Norfolk Park for the past 17 years, during this time I have worked as teaching assistant and have been in my current role as Healthcare Coordinator for 7 years. I am also part of the safeguarding team.
My passion and commitment for the school and the children that attend has stemmed from my own personal experience as a Mum of a child with PMLD and complex medical needs. I have undertaken lots of training to be able to do as much for the children as possible to enable them to remain in education even when medical needs can become a barrier.
Archdale has a special place in my heart and that of my family.

Lindsay Newbould, Staff Governor
I have been a teacher for 13 years. I lead on RE and Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural (SMSC) development within school. I ensure we reflect learning around a variety of different faiths, traditions and festivals and find a multi-sensory approach works well. I have been involved in developments in school around the new curriculum, engagement, music and assemblies. Music should be so prominent in school as it is inclusive and accessible and brings out so much joy in the children. Outside of school my own passion is music: I play the cornet and am a member of the Chapeltown Brass Band. I also play in school sometimes and I also sing for weddings, parties and just for my own pleasure.
Member of Teaching, Learning and Community committee 27/03/19 - 27/03/24

Ganelle Griffiths, Parent Governor
I'm Ganelle and I am a mum to 3 amazing children age 16, 12 and 4 years old.
I have a degree in Nutrition, health and Lifestyle and I am also a qualified level 6 Early Years Teacher and recently completed my level 1 and 2 in makaton.
Before I had my youngest child I was deputy manager at a nursery and an early years teacher working with children age 0-5 years. I have always loved to work with children as I find it so rewarding watching them grow and develop and knowing you have helped them to reach their full potential as well as supporting families.
In my spare time I love to go on walks especially in the countryside with my children, and love a good bike ride too. I love to spend lots of time outdoors as it is so great for mental health something which I am really passionate about.
I love to socialise and have me time, watching movies and listening to a variety of music.
With my youngest child having additional needs it has opened up my eyes to a new career path which I'm hoping to fulfil in the future as I love to work with families and help children where ever I can.
I am a friendly, bubbly , happy person who loves to bring joy to others.
